The Yokosuka coal-fired power plant project is a joint venture between TEPCO Fuel & Power and Chubu Electric Power Co. There are many houses, elementary and junior high schools near the construction site, and local residents are concerned about health due to air pollution as well as climate crisis

FoE Japan is working to stop the project with local groups and other civil society organizations.
